Imólè ("we") runs imoletide.com and the websites businesses build with it. This policy explains what personal data we collect and why. We process personal data in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 (NDPA) and Ghana's Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843).

Data we collect

Business owners: name, email, password (stored encrypted), business details you add, and, if you take deposits, your payout bank details (verified through Paystack).

Your customers: when someone books through a business website we store the details they enter (name, phone, optional email, service, time, message) so the business can serve them.

Payments: card and bank details are entered on Paystack's secure pages — we never see or store card numbers.

Usage: basic, cookie-free page-view and booking counts for business analytics; and, only if you accept marketing cookies on our own marketing pages, analytics and advertising cookies (see our cookie policy).

Why we use it (lawful basis)

To provide the service you signed up for (contract); to process payments and prevent fraud (legitimate interest and legal obligation); to send booking and account emails (contract); and, with your consent, to measure and improve our marketing.

Who we share it with

Service providers that run Imólè on our behalf: Railway (hosting), Paystack (payments), Resend (email), and, if a business connects them, Google (Calendar/Business) and WhatsApp. We do not sell personal data.

Customer booking details are shared with the business you booked with — that business is responsible for how it uses them.

International transfers

Some providers store data outside Nigeria and Ghana (for example in the EU or USA). We use providers with appropriate safeguards as required by the NDPA and Act 843.

How long we keep data

Account data for as long as your account is open, then deleted or anonymised within 90 days of a request, except where we must keep records (for example payment records) by law.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal data, object to or restrict processing, and withdraw consent at any time. Email hello@imoletide.com. You may also complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC) or Ghana's Data Protection Commission.

Security

Passwords are hashed, connections are encrypted (HTTPS), staff access is logged, and payment details never touch our servers.
